Wide angle lens - Elura 100

hey guys, so I have a basic mini dv cam.  the canon elura 100.  i really have no idea about wide angle lenses and what fits my cam etc.

ive seen really cheap lenses like this

but i do not know anything about it and if it sucks or anything.  i just want to be able to get some close park shots.  any recomendations?  not very expensive and teh quicker the better, because im hoping i can snag one for christmas.

i cant tell from up close, but hopefully your camera has threads infront of the lens.  you screw the lens onto that, but you need to find out what your thread diameter is.  You can just look it up online, so yeah, do that.  As for lenses, depending on what you want, you could either go for minimal wide angle (like .7x-.8x) or total fisheye (.3x)...its up to you on that note.  Its usually cheaper to go with a less wide angled lens, and the cheaper ones seem to distort the picture more

alright thanks.  yea its got threads,  its really gonna be teh secondary cam this yr for our vid cuz my friend just bought an hv 20 but id like to get a basic wide angle.  would i need to buy a convertor? or do lenses come preset for teh diameter size?

you can get lens's that fit exactly your thread size, or stepup rings to make it fit your size.

my hv20 has 43mm threads, i have a 43-52 mm stepup ring, and a 52mm wide angle. Never have a lens with threads lower then your camera's, there will be vignetting.
