there is this 40 something stair urban rail in my town but it is made of wood, probably about 6 inches wide.. is it really easy to catch an edge or is it like a normal rail?
Wood is soft and yes, you catch edges easily on it. If your serious about hitting it wax it like crazy and dont lean forwarfd or you willl catch an edge and it will hurt, ALOT.
i dont know if this is true, but aparently when its colder its harder to catch ur edge on wood cuz its harder. so mabye wait for a nice cold day. dont bitch at me if this isnt true, im just throwing it out there cuz ive herd it before
yeh u kinda have to lean back but its not as hard as everyone makes it out to be if its smooth should be easy. rember to get video of it incase u eat it
If your asking that question you shouldn't probably be doing it. If you been skiing rails and have a good enough experience for a 40 set then you should have encountered wood rails with that experience
think of how fast you would slide on ice... way faster than any rail.. and by the time you make it to the bottom of a 40 ft staircase you would just crumple on the flat landing
