Ya I weigh about the same as you do. No amount of eating helps. It's because you have such a high metabolism. You could try working out more and taking protein, I haven't personally but it might work well for you.
I'm glad I'm skinny personally, I know that in a few more years my metabolism will slow down and it will be a huge pain in the ass to keep off the pounds. I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
high carbs, and calories not much sugar cause that just puts on straight fat, bad weight. protein shakes can help you add muscle mass if you workout....that'll make you gain good weight
Creatine never seemed like a good idea to me. Not only has it never been through the FDA, no one really has done any conclusive studies on how it affects the body, especially long term.
Alot of creatine is just putting on water weight, or so they believe thus far from the few conclusive studies that have been run. I don't trust the stuff personally, but that's just my opinion.
Metabolism is biological and different for any person. While not eating any breakfast will have an effect on your calorie intake as well as some other things, it doesn't affect your metabolism per se. It might be a lot harder to gain weight without eating breakfast though due to that fact that you essentially don't eat after dinner or a snack after dinner, so you have like a 12 hour gap in which you don't eat, plus another 4-6 hours if you don't eat breakfast. Your body has to strain more to find energy sources, maybe looking towards fat? I'm not entirely sure.
i know it's only one person that i've seen this work on, but it is insane how big he got from just creatine. my cousin used to be about 5'7" 125-130. after one summer of heavy lifting and creatine daily, he bulked up to fucking 5'9" 170 lbs. of almost all muscle. he is the most fucking ripped kid in our high school. he uses more expensive stuff now like that muscle tech and shit, but that creatine fucking bulked him up insanely...
Ya but you lost water weight. Creatine helps you bulk up short term, but then you have to be really serious about bulking up and keeping on the weight and you have to go off the creatine. Or something like that, we had a week of lectures on it in my Nutrition class last year but I don't remember all of it.
yep, very true. my cousin quit lifting after summer and he lost about 7 or 8 lbs. until he started lifting again and using muscle tech. i tried using creatine, it started to help but i just don't have the desire to lift everyday so it doesn't help too much. im fine with where i am now, except for the crunches i do.
it helps you to gain muscle mass but not in a good way, it'll bulk you up but after you stop taking it you'll be weak, it starts to put a big strain on your muscles.
eat alot of tuna fish sandwiches and Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches, i know it sounds rediculous, but one of my friends is big into football, could lift alot, like bench 185 and he only was 135, he ate a shitload of tuna all summer and got up to 155, which is alot of weight for one summer
up your sodium in-take
if its weight an not fat your going for, salt helps retain water and fat. I usually have to make weight classes for rowing, and salt is always a killer...
yah i started working out at 135 lbs and worked out for a year straight only eating food and lots of it no shakes or any expensive supplements....after a year i was up to 155lbs then kinda peaked so i dipped into the supplements helped alot got up to 175...havn't been to the gym in a yr now and i'm back to 155 so basically supplements will never keep you big cause ur body relies on it way to much and once u get off of it and stop working out ur guna lose everything except for the muscle mass you gained thru good nutrition..and yes tuna sandwiches are damn good food for post workout 56 grams of protein per can and no fat
...Well there is your problem. You only work out a little. If you really want results you have to lift every day. Join the NS Bodybuilders cult and you can see some workouts or you can ask for people to post bulk workouts. Its all about how bad you want it.
What's your point? There still is very little research done on the effects of Creatine, whether they are good or bad. I'm not going to take a pseudo-steroid like that no matter what Men's Health says without alot of research done on it.
eat shitloads of stuff thats fattening like butter, oh and skip breakfast and then at like 2 o clock have like ughh toast eggs butter on that toast orange juice, and a junk food. skipping breakfast MAKES you gain weight because your body is starving so when it gets what it wants it completely stores the fats and stuff.
I wasnt trying to be mean. I was just referring you to an article. Maybe if you read it it could answer some of your questions. So heres me trying to be a good neighbor and giving you the link you probabbly wont click
called cytolysis
it means cell ripping
basically when the cells become filled with too much water they break. That is why having too much water is a bad thing
Don't exercise and eat all the crap food you can get your hands on. take it from an expert. i weigh 130 pounds, 5 foot 9. I didn;t exercise, just skiied last winter and gained 20 pounds.
i have the opposite problem, i weigh 200 pounds and am about 6'1". The weird thing is I'm not all that strong and I have very little fat, its strange. As long as I'm not fat I don't care though.
My bad, didn't mean to come off as an asshole. I just didn't see what you were getting at with your post. Anyway, I'll check out that article later and see what it says.
Your cells have to have a shit-ton of water in them for that to happen, creatine isn't gonna do that to you unless you are drinking WAY to much water, you're takin that to an extreme...
Even tho they might not burst, you can still do damage. You are bulkier and capable of lifting more weight, however, you don't have any more muscle mass, just water weight within your muscles. More strain on those cells, which are weakened with the increase of water, makes it easier to pull/tear the muscle.
