Whiteface.... Decent park???? NO WAY!

Going against the east coast belif that whiteface sucks for park and is always icy i gotta throw somethin out there.  Yes it might be a little icy some times but next season they are opening a new peak so  it should stop that some.  For right now though, they already have a legit 40 foot table up and a good amount of rails ready to go,  If i finish my 8 page history essay tonight ill be goin up tommorow and should be able to put up some pictures....dont rule whiteface out this year for having a good park kiddies

somehow ive gone to whiteface the past 2 years in early march. and they're park is absolute shit. im not sure if its because of some competition... last year when i was there, they had like 3 shitty jumps and a decent amount of rails and boxes... not set up very well though.

their stuff looks shitty but is alright

my only beef is sometimes i go there and some of their features are broken. that has happened more than once

well in early march the park staff is going 100% at making the world cup halfpipe and the bordercross, that means they put in about 5 hours a week into the park.  Once the world cup is over they have a top notch halfpipe and a ton of snow to work with

whiteface has always had a bad reputation of being icy and it prolly always will, but last year i had some of the best pow days ever, and its park has been improving in recent years, with its new features it will be sick!

its way more than decent right now.  The set-up goes like this. battleship box to start it off, then into the tabel, 35-40 ft on the right 30ish on the left (but has nice pop and is flippable) then into a flat box and triple barrel up rail next to each other then into a 25-30 ft wide super poppy spine with a barrel on the left top of it (its very perfect for hand drags) then into what will be the wallride ina few days, they are going full force this year into making a park that riders wanna see. Go into the whiteface cult (its an open cult) and post your ideas, aaron (newscratch) will take them very seriously into consderation and try to make it happen which is awesome. it also helps that we got around a foot of new snow since sunday.

also if your thier during the week its very very empty and the skiing is great in general right now.

yeah i was there last weekend for the rail jam, its sweet, they have a real park set up already and its only mid december, i'm amped for the rest of the season
