They say they're opening everything except Deer Park. I predict lots of lost ptex and maybe some bloodshed for the unlucky ones. It should be an interesting opening day since they hardly ever have Bridger running this early, but I won't be there because I'm such a dedicated student.

I was up there today. at lower elevations there was a nice 3 inch base of slush, on top of the, um, ground. At higher elevations I guess there were some slides, 8 inches of slush on top of 26 (compacted) inches of 3%

my skiing has been stopped until monday at 11:50 am, then its on!
pretty sketchy avie shit today, apparently low angled, treed slopes in the big sky area that have never slid before are sliding.Â

Well we did have a faceted base with fluff on it, wind, then heavy snow with rain. I'm not going in the backcountry anytime soon.
On another note, I'm essentially done with school tuesday at 11:50. I have to show up thursday evening to write my name on a test, and that's it.

nice. we need some freezing weather asap. i heard of people going out skiing today and that has to be the dumbest idea ever. cant wait for the semester to end, then its 10 of skiing where ever the snow is the deepest and then a week in the carribean!

Ehhhh, that's what we predicted last december and we all know the skiing was a bit shy of epic. But hey, a little false hope never hurt anyone! I do know the guy who makes it snow though, he's been gone every time it's snowed over two feet (except once) and the time we got 100".

The coverage is ok on the lower mountain if you're careful, but the ridge is bony for sure.
