on friday i went up to keystone for 36 hours where we got a house and a shit ton of booze. i started drinking around around 5 and decided to go skiing later that night. skiing wasnt that good of an idea when we decided to go around 1 that night. i decided after one run that i shouldnt ski and went back to the house where i jumped in the hot tub and started drinking more. by this time i was pretty much blacked out and some kid at the place we were staying bet me i couldnt jump off the balcony. so barefoot and in nothing but swim trunks i got a running start and hucked myself off the balcony that was about 15 feet off the ground. i landed it on my feet, but my mouth landed on my knee and i split my tongue down the middle and fucked my mouth up good. i went to the clinic and they decided i was too drunk to work on fixing me up so they pumped me full of saline and sedated me. i woke up the next morning with 15 stitches in my tongue and a really sensitive face. and no pain killers. the doctors said i lost almost a quart of blood.
yesterday i went to the dentist and tehy discovered that i broke my front teeth and my gum bone and now i have to get fake teeth and surgery on my mouth later today, but i finally did get some oxycodon.
the kid that bet me never paid me either so he is an asshole.
i dont know how long it will be before i can go skiing again.

you can really look at it two ways, 1) if you hadn't got really drunk, you probably wouldnt have jumped off the balcony. 2) if the asshole hadn't bet you to jump off the balcony, you probably wouldn't have either. its a tough one, you should probably find the guy and punch his teeth out, just to even the score.

i don't care how stupid or whatever people are saying you are, that's a sweet story and i think it was mostly just bad luck. we all do stupid stuff when we're drunk and once in a while luck turns against us.
