As far as i know winter x is still getting cut after this year. EXPN didnt want to televise it anymore so they pretty much lost all their sponsor money so no more xgames.
not true...i dont know if you're just being sarcastic...but x-games is going to happen through 2010....and its scheduled to be in aspen until 2010...then they will possibly change the location
i was at thee x games last year and talked to some guy that looked pretty legit and he said it was happening in aspen till 2010 and then it was gonna move somewhere else.
fuck the west... who wants to land on soft powder when you can land on ice. and look at what happened last year a buncha shit was canceled due to too much snow, that would never happen here
If I can take the time to be critical of myself- it would be very hard to have winter X on the east coast because most resorts don't have the amount and level of commerce to help make the X games a worthwhile investment for a resort. That being said,I don't see what would stand in the way of having the X games at a place like Tremblant, which already has the infrastructure in place to support such an event. Tremblant is a cosmopolitan resort, which is exactly the type of place that the X games would be hosted. As cool as it would be to see the X games in Vermont again, the resorts in Vermont, besides Stratton, lack the resort atmosphere, and therefore the turnout at an event like X would consist of only core skiers and riders. None of the resort town- family revenue would exist.
Ya its crazy how much money the x games brings to an area-- its like a mini Olympics... and whoever gives the x-games the most $ and perks will sign the deal where they will go next.
