# of stowe trails? marketing lie

well i was looking up stow and comparing this year to last, and i relized that they sid last year they had 48 total trails, but this year i looked and found out that the website says they have 116 trails it says they made more but are these really trails. to fing evidence i found a website that shows the amount of "trails" they have or had.

Im not dissing on stowe only, it just seems that many mountain say they have more then what they have resorts use larger trails as two or even three seperate trails, like upper middle and lower.
its funny cause it doesnt matter how many, but so many mountains lie

yes a lot of mountains do this. its all to appeal to the tourists and i mean it works doesnt it. you cant really blame them

thats bull. I just looked on there site and it says that they have 118 trails and then i went on to there interactive trail map and they only had like 60 listed

killington is by far the worst at that, in the spring they'll say like "50 TRAILS OPEN!" but thats actually like 6 top to bottom trails and 40 trails that just connect 1 to each other

killy is really bad with this haha, they claim to have over 300 trails last season or w/e. killy is big but i dont think 300. and okemo isnt that bad, they say like 118 or something which is real close

they count Piko also and it isent over 300 its like 2 something but def a lot of bullshit trails. Okemo is pretty bad. Its not that big of a mountain. They have a bunch of cut overs that are named and uppers and lowers. I ski Jay alot and it seems bigger then okemo yet okemo has 40 more trails.
