Sabotage Stupidity

I agree, buttering and jumping off cliffs would probably just make the anti-snowboard skiers hate snowboarding more. I never had a problem with those resorts but I always thought it was kind of dumb since there are lots of snowboarding families who ride recreationally without doing anything wild, and some freeskiers who are just as obnoxious as the snowboarding stereotype. instead of being anti-snowboarding, those resorts should just step up the ski patrol on the mountain or certain trails if they want to maintain a "family" environment.
 The poachers should have gone with a more conservative and mellow approach when poaching, including outerwear, to show snowboarders aren't any different from skiers.  another way would be to write letters or ironically get a crew of crazy freeskiers to tear up the resorts.

Alta- snowbird is better any way

Deer valley-  (See Alta) brighton, Solitude, Canyons, And PC are way better.  even powder mt is better

Taos- rathe rgo to angel fire if in new mexico  (rather not go to new mexico)

MRG- rather go any where else in VT, for that part rather be out west

so for me i could really care less. if they want to lose 35% or more of the current ski industry revenue letum and i dont think they are doing much for free skiing either. but once all those "old Head all i want to do is make turns" skiers die out we will see where those resorts end up

agreed, and until then I still like to see the faces of the people when 20 snowboards fly by, they looked so confused

Its such an oudated thing. Outlawing one sport even though it fits in fine with the sport you protecting.

Snowboards, bikes in skate parks....

theres so many good resorts out there, and i have no problem with skipping a resort thats that stupid to allow a rule like that

i can actually understand the bikes in skate parks thing a little more.  depending on what the ramps are made of and the proficiency of the rider those bike pegs can do a lot of damage to a ramp. my mindset is in buisness you never turn down a paying customer

Personally i think this is an absolutely retarded idea by Burton.  While say, Deer Valley is a group of rich fucks from Texas who have sectioned off their own personal resort in Utah, other ones such as MRG and Alta are super chill places that havent allowed snowboarding for years.  And whoever said Snowbird has better terrain that Alta...well ive ridden Alta preseason with multiple feet of powder and i can say that there is some strait up rediculous shit way back in there that you just cant find at Snowbird, although its very similar.  Not to mention that some of the run outs in the basins way back in Alta are flat as fuck, and i know i wouldnt want to skate for 10 minutes after my powder run. I can see where this contest could be fun (Deer Valley), but if i was skiing tight glades at MRG, and a bunch of kids with snowboards just came and demolished all the snow in the glades (high chance of this happening unless this group of kids was intesly good at tree riding), i would not be too happy.  With that said, if Burton really wanted to run a good contest, they should have just kept it strictly to Deer Valley...and i can't speak for Taos, never been there nor do i really know what its about.
