Gloves

Hey guys. I'm needing a new pair of gloves and I was hoping you guys could help me choose a model. I've found good deals for Dakine Cobra GT, Mustand and Raven. What I'm looking for is something extremely warm. Being in Quebec, I'm used to skiing in extremely cold weather, but gloves are key in getting me to stay out for long periods.

I'm not only looking at Dakine, so if you have other suggestions that would be ~ >$70 let me know.
Appreciate the help.

I have a pair of Burton mittens, they are amazing. They are mittens, but they have like fingers inside kind of, so your fingers are separated and don't get all sweaty. They also came with a thin pair of gloves that you can wear on warm days, or put inside of the mittens to wear on extra cold days. I think they were about $85, I love em.

hestra makes super nice stuff for sure, but you're gonna pay for it.  sometimes ebay and the other usual avenues can get you a decent deal though.  the seth morrison pro gloves look awesome...i wish i had some.

dakine trigger mittens. warmth of mittens but you have one open finger. really warm. hestra and POW also make realy warm gloves

At first I got sucked into them by thinking, oh cool looking gloves, and they are gloves so they have to be warm right? Well finds out you can go wrong in making them. Most of their gloves are nothing but a shell, no insulation at all. I mean dont get me wrong, they are great for spring skiing and thats about it. They keep in heat like a strainer keeps in water. Only reason im keeping mine right now are because I need gloves for the spring. So in my opinon, you pay 50 bucks for 15 dollar quality. but thats just me and your view might vary. I bought the Misfittens by the way

no but i have the misfits and i only use em for early season/ late season/ rail jams/ urban etc

and even then i wear a smaller liner underneath.


the guy a few posts above me is correct. grenade gloves are basicly a shell wit like 1 mm of insulation

I have grendade gloves and they're thin but its because theyre pipe/spring gloves.  I bought them knowing that they weren't going to be heavily instulated and I just use them in the spring and theyre perfect.  It is wrong to say that grenade only makes thin gloves.  Take the time to look at their products, most of them are thin spring gloves, and they say that right in the description, but they do make some much heavier insulated gloves for winter.  You need to make sure that you're buying the right kind of glove before you can make generalizations like "they only make cheap thin gloves".

They look great and the price is good. How warm are they though? I'm looking at the pic and I cant really tell how insulated they are; I need these for some really cold/windy weather.
