Replying to Is buying a spk the solution

rupert_pupkin:
I know there are lika a billion threads about that shoe, so I used the searchbar but didn´t find a thread that had the informations I need.

So, my problem is that when I often land backseated my calfs start hurting like mad. I don´t really get shinbang, but the whole back of my lower legs start to hurt like mad, especially on the sides right behind my shinbone. Since I took all season off and should be able to ski every single day of the season (well, maybe not every single day, but 5-6 days a week should be possible) I was thinking about a solution.
A week ago when I got my new skis (which are mounted for the boot I have now which sole is 307mm long) I tried the spk chaos which fitted perfektly. But what caught my attention was how high the back of the shoe was. Its at least 5-10cm higher than the one of the shoe I own now and it seems to support the lower leg pretty well when landing backseated.
My question is: Do you guys think a skp would solve my problem? I should also mention that I already mounted my ski (btw, how long is the sole of a size 42 spk boot) and that I´m almost out of money, so I´d also buy the boot if it really helped and as lasts solution.
thx
