A couple weekends ago, or maybe last weekend, but w/e, i dented my edge into my base, the base bubbled, big deal, i scraped it down so the base was level, and i was left with a 2 inch section of edge that is dented in 3-4mm. not a big deal at all. today i was looking at the dge again and the side wal is cracked parrallel to the edge, and its splintering all over. I also looked at my tail, and thats starting to delam a little bit too. I droped p-tex into the cracked sidewall and on the tail of my ski where it was delamming. Does anybody know anything else that might work because the p-tex just chipped right off my side wall and i really dont feel like letting any more water get into my chore , its right under my toe piece too
P-tex is exactly the wrong thing to be using to stop cracking... are the skis new? You will want an epoxy or glue, i would suggest a solid 2 part epoxy, and or some strong ass glue (do not use gorilla glue) i would alos check with the manuf. to see if they are covered most delams they take into consideration... good luck
it isnt a warrenty thing, i landed funky on a rail and bashed the edge in, thats what caused the crack, so thats my fault, the skis i got half way thru last season, but alright thanks i will try some marine epoxy or something
