so all you have to do is go to this site http://www.freerice.com/index.php and answer vocabulary questions. for each question you get right the site will donate twenty grains of rice through the UN to help end world hunger

Have you see how much is donated total, per day? Alot of people are helping out, it adds up fast.

So far over 5 billion grains of rice have been donated. That is ALOT of food to hungry people. Rice is also an excellent food, it is one of the few foods that contains almost all of the required proteins needed on a daily basis.

Freerice.com has a bunch of sponsors. It's kinda like when there was the breast cancer website up, and all you had to do was click on an ad once a day to give a free mamogram or whatever it was. The site is probably still up.

Regardless, same thing. Bunch of large corporations agree to donate money to this fund that gives free rice to starving people around the world. They decided to not only make it more interesting than clicking one button every day, but also make it educational at the same time.

ahhh i hate those sometimes if i think a video is sketchy like that i wont even watch it.

and i donated 600 grains,  thats a pretty good idea, although it doesnt seem like much i bet it ads up really fast

hey everyone, set your homepage to www.thehungersite.com . it is kind of the same thing as freerice but you donate in multiple ways. so whenever i open my browser i click to donate for each of the causes.

You guys realize there are 29 000 grains of rice in a 1 pound bag...im not saying this is futile, but they are definitely making money off of advertising and stuff, and not dishing out that much rice.

That means they give 100 pounds of rice in one day, and just with random people who do nothing all day, like me. I'm at 15000. Spread the word, and this can mean a lot.

they say they're non profit. but yeah, they could be lying.

although i'm not sure ad pricing and such fees, they really can be making a lot of money though, since each page refresh has new ads and you need to refresh for every question.
