sun valley is incredbible man, dont listen to this other guy, i skied there last new years and the powder was amazing. the resort is not the real place for a new schooler as they dont even have a park. what they have is huge long runs with a lot of challenge too. heli sking there would be a dream of mine so i say go for it dude.

Isn't Warren Miller from Sun Valley?

Any place that sets up (ie, spends the money) a big park for one weekend (Sol Festival) and then rips it down is fucking stupid in my eyes.

If you're looking fo actual mountains and snow, just keep on truckin'. Sun Valley snowplows the shit out of everything in sight. And yes, yuppies.

I've never heard of a heli-skiing operation around Sun Valley, maybe it's new or I just didn't pay attention. But I'm sure it would be really nice if you got some good snow... the mountains would be much smaller than any heli-skiing in Alaska or BC though. Actually, in my opinion, skiing Alta in-bounds would probably be better (and a lot cheaper) than heli-skiing in Sun Valley.

yah, it definatley will not be cheaper, cause im gonna fly out there on air miles, and i can get free heli skiing and tickets, so yah...

if you can brave all the yuppies and shit, then it isnt too bad. it isnt the greatest mountain in the world, but its alright, sometimes. snow is decent up top at least, but its all groomed and no steeps and shit, ahfhuvh

SunValley is the shit man. There is no park, but that will soon change. The terrain around there is sick, especially up north in the sawtooth range. I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to go there. Those kids are just bitter about the price of lift tickets and lack of newschool community. If you can get beond that shit, and just look at what really matters that place has alot to offer...amazing skiing.

yeah...im from utah, i went to sun valley when i was in in 5th grade and i thought it sucked.......so...........imagine what crapiness it would bring to me now

i live here in sun valley, and the heli-skiing your reffreing to is sun valley heli-ski. its really sweet, dont pass it up. people say theres no newschool community, but thats not true. we just have to build all of our jumps and do rails in town. lots of yuppies and grooming, though, but the town kicks ass, so dont pass it up man!

I live in sun valley, i have lived here my whole life. I think this place is super dope. The skiing is insane. So much beautiful pow and the backcountry is just filthy, so if yer heli skiing thats so lucky, lots of sick snow. We got a pipe now, its pretty nice. I just love the terrain on our mountain and i love the town. There're lots of jumps up there, but they're hidden and my lips are sealed, so look closely....
