I looking at universities and wondering if any of you NS'ers know of any good school that have a good photography program...im really into photography and you can see my stuff in the link in my signature....i don't want a program with like drawing...im really bad with that. Also im up for things like photoshop with photography which i like a lot as well. Some schools suggestions and experiences from schools would be great guys!

As far as I understand it, if you want to get any kind of visual arts degree, you will have to do drawing and other traditional media. You have to understand the basics of composition, balance, form, texture, color, etc.

i want experiences as well...google is fine, but its of course biased towards the university to make it look better, so its best to here personal accounts....

new word on the street is that the photography/visual arts program is sick and they are reconstructing the film department from the ground up to make it extra good and tasty

Emilly Carr has photogrpahy and is a world rated arts skool......peopel don't liek them cuz thye are super snobby though, but world rated. langara college also has an okey skool i think. I am at ubc but i don't know if it has specific photo...you can do visual arts though.

uvic you can be like the rest of the photography kids and take pictures of me while i smoke by the fountain. i want to go to the photography class thing and look for pictures of myself

don't know of any snobs that go there, just artsy people. But yes it's a small and apparently good school, look into it. A friend of mine is in visual arts there and enjoys it a bunch.

school... for.. photography? hahahahahaha. kid, all you need to do is work at a good photo store, get some contacts, get a website, make a portfolio and make a name. photo school... hahahahaahhaahah what a waste of money!
