ya but luckily it was a carbon fiber or some kind of composite pole so instead of having a pole in my chest, the pole just blew up

fell down the stairs of a quad kink and landed parallel to the ground with my pole perpendicular and right under my stomach. Knocked the wind out of my, and broke my pole in half

One time I was like 12, I was cruising pretty good on a straight groomer and I sat down on my tails and put my poles straight forward over my noses.  After I had my fun doing that I stood up, but as soon as I moved one of my poles dug into the snow and the handle hit me in the face breaking my goggles and I think I got a bloody nose.  Luckily, I was not yet addicted to stylish and expensive eyewear so all I lost was a 15 dollar pair of scotts.

^as much as that sucks and i feel for ya (i have also smashed my face with my pole, but it went into my cheek and i was in the pipe), i bet some of the people on the lifts had a couple of laughs at that, as would most people if they saw that go down haha.

yah came off a jump and my right pole planted into the snow the handle hit me right in the chest bent my pole to shit and i was winded for a little while that sucked

I was doin a frontflip on the snow w/ no skis on leaning on my poles and one just snapped right in half and stabbed me in the stomach, didn't pierce the skin though

i managed to crack my sternum vertically like this... hurt like a bitch. effectively pole planted right into the middle of my chest landing a 3 after nearly overjumping the landing.

i  fell once and my face hit my pole handle, giving me a huge lower lip, thats about it. i dont use poles anymore in the park though so this wont happen anytime soon, in the park. i still use them on actual 'hills' like groomers and glade runs when i go on trips.

i slid off a rail once my pole planted and i smashed my face off it chipping my front tooth in half then my tooth fragments ripped my mouth to shreds and my lips turned into nigger lips. i looked very funny

on a large jump while i was spinning i lost grip of my pole so it was dangling, when i landed i landed on the baskey and that ski instantly stopped and i ate shit.

a friend of mine had to have surgery on his kidney- coming in hot switch with pole facing forward, hit a bump, tip of pole digs into the snow, BAM- handle right into his kidney. think lennox lewis kidney punch x 10... ouch!

yes, once, i was riding fakie and went to turn around and fucking just a stupid move turning around made me fall and my pole planet into the gound and i slamed my head into it.....luckely i had a helmet on...it just felt like someone threw a rock at my head...

but i get skier's thumb from my poles all the time....

when i was in high school and raced, we were lapping a GS course in practice and a girl fell, putting her tip through her GS suit into her thigh.  the damn thing went into her leg up to the basket and she fuckin SCREAMED.  i'm guessing that meant it hurt a bunch.

i was skiing switch not rally paying much attention to my poles and my right pole hit the snow in front of me and stabbed me in the ass.  just snapped in half.. i was pretty pissed.

haha i just snapped a pole in half the other weekend, it impaled my stomach, shoving the pole like 6 inches into the snow and snapping it as i skied over it. but it was sooooooooo stylie

Yeah man..check out my vids...and just last weekend i broke my pole in half with my hip...i thought i broke my hip as well..but its all good now after finding a lonesome pole in the corner of the downstairs of the lodge...poles are dangerous...but skiin without them just isint the same..

Yes. I had my grip go straight into my chest when I was younger and ended up with 2 cracked ribs. 2" to the left of my heart.

i landed last year, my right poles jammed into the ground and my left one some how popped up and the end hit me right under the eye and gave me a gnargnar cut/bruise. at least it wasnt sharpened

i was skiing when i was like 10 or 11 and i stopped and fell on to my pole and it hit the corner of my lip and put a massive bloody hole in it, i needed 14 stiches in it, and the cut was only like the width of half your pinky nail. The doctor was cleaning it out and he would squrit sailen solution into from the out side and i would spit it out into a bed pan, it was gnarly.

My pole crushed my kidney against my spine falling on it flat in the pipe.

As the dokter told me: it exploded like an orange like if you throw it at a wall.

over my brotherss head when we were young would would always use the poles as swords and it got out of hand he nail me in my calf really hard i got pissed and two handed my pole over his head hahah......lost my poles for a year because of that incident

my friends and i were dropping a little cornice and i was feeling pretty confident for a noob so i go and pop hard off the cornice, do a little grab and land.  Suddenly my pole shoots up and smacks me in the side of the face.  i was just laying down cause it hurt so bad.
