So yeah, today we're in school the principle comes on says he has bad news, 4 students from our school were in a car accident last night, 1 of them died, 1 in critical condition, 2 are 'alright', its just weird here that, every year, every single year something bad happens to kids in the school. My neighbour, a teacher there, whos been teaching there for 12 years says a year hasnt gone by without something terrible happening, last year the most athletic guy in school died in the middle of english class, the year before there was an explosion in the chem lab, every year something bad happens. Its really weird, as soon as he comes on the pa you know something bads happened, as our teacher put it, when he comes on its eather code red of bad knews, but is it just me, or does nothing surprise you anymore. Its kinda scary, i mean, september 11th happened, i wasnt shocked, it happens, for so many things that have happened i have been at school and heard that voice come on 'america is under attack'. it doesnt surprise me anymore, i dont get shocked, i dont think thats saying anything good about the world we're livin in.
I dont know what this threads really about.. just sorta wanted to rant, all this bad shit happenin... so yah.

your right. i wasnt extremely shocjked when 9/11 happened/ i knew it was a big deal, but i wasnt shocked. i guess it takes a death of someone close to u to open up ure eyes.

yeah, i dont really know if anyone understands what im sayin, im sorta in a transe.. but ... i donno how to say it, its just that, with everything in the world right now, nothing is surprising, when someone says the american embassy just got bombed, im not surprised, read the paper, how much shit happens in one day, every day you can find something bad on the news, or front page, its.. just.. so expected that something bad will happen, im more surprised if i can get through a day without hearing about american blowing shit up, isreal bombings, the protestants killoin the catholics... its really weird how shitty the world is that im not surprised when 2 buildings fall to the ground in 6 seconds killing 3000 people... or when my friends are killed by drunk drivers.

its kinda fucked tho when u think about how when 9/11 occured, the whole world was shocked just because it happened in america. but shit like that happens on a weekly basis in afghanistan and palistan. its messed up.

oh yeah man, your right. its amazing how that works. that when mexico drops a bomb on there country no one gives to shits, but when it happens reverse it matters... i dont wanna get into that shit right now though... i was just kinda wondering if anyone else felt the same, that the world is shit, we have to train for some one bringing a gun to school, we have lockdown drills, its scary to need these, its scary that you could die on the highway b/c of a drunk, and that at any time, some whacko could fly a plane into a building.

i remember just finnishing a french test in 7th grade, walking upstairs then hearing an intercom, terorists have drivin planes into the world trade centers and this is a terrible tragety and massive loss of life....i thought they were kidding

your right. its sad how we see pictures in the papers of little 5 years old overseas with guns in hand. there is too much pointless fighting. and its scary how your life could be turned upside down by gettin in a car accident that could've easily been avoided by the other driver taking a cab instead if driving. i just dont really get why someone would take the chance of driving drunk when it is soo easy to take a cab. u dial a couple numbers.. wait a couple minutes and there u have a ride home. it may cost a couple dollars but driving drunk could cost a life.

i was in class, our library teacher told us first, about 9/11, i knew it was coming, it was a matter of time, i wasnt surprised, but it really put a hence on everyone, i dont like it when tragety strikes. today was my bday too, and all my friends were sad about the people dying, it really sucked... i felt bad for them... but.. what are you going to do.. i mean... argh.. whatever.

im not gonna pretend like you deserved it, but im not gonna get teary eyed over that shit either, it happens all the time, but youd never think it'd happen to you, your like the average teenager, think ur immune to everything, then it happens, and you regret shit bush, clinton, jesus, the list goes on and on of presidents who have prepared you guys for 9/11... its horrible, but not unforseen.

I was a soph sitting in Algebra II Trig taking a quiz when it happend. There was an announcement over the pa system that was 'The computer technician is now in the building.' Our school has codes for flippin' everything to prevent the student body from knowing anything. So over course the teachers have too many codes to remember and they didn't know what it meant so they started calling each other, that was when we knew something was up. The code meant to check their email and so they got the message to turn on the tv to see what was going on and that was how we stayed for pretty much the rest of the day. As bad as it sounds, it didn't seem that big of a deal to me. Yes it is horrible that we lost so many lives but it didn't affect me directly so it seemed like it didn't happen and was just sorta another item of dramatic news in the US. And I agree with ya Blind, I knew it was coming too. Why the hell can't the US just keep out of everyone else's business? I wish they would stop getting our citizens involved in everything that the god damn macho politicians feel that they should play God to and attempt to fix. Grr.

my freshman year a girl at our school got bacterial meningitis and died. It was a huge deal because she was on the swim team and they had a big sleepover like a week before. And she had just swam in the same pool with a few hundred other girls at a big swim meet. Almost exactly a year later her brother died in a drunk driving accident. Sorry about the kids at your school. I know what its like. Sometimes it seems like the world just sucks too much.

when sept. 11 happened a couple of our teachers and our principal were crying or being really emotional, but i wasnt that affected by it and i thought that maybe i should have been more sad and i knew it was sad i just wasnt depressed or anything.
