so i have it all built except for the pvc to be attached. now im debating over drill it in from the sides, but what if i want to do 270 on or something? the other option is drill it from the bottom, one thing is that i dont want it to crack and fall on screws, another is that how do you drill it so it gets the perfect spot on the rail for it to stay in place, instead of missing the pipe?

drill from underneath. it will be fine. i've made a few and this works well. the pvc doesnt slide around or anything. just do the drilling park well and dont fuck it up.

i still like drilling a hole in the top and then sinking the head through the bottom of the pvc into the wood. i like this better because i think it would be harder for the pvc to rip out since your sinking the head of the screw into the pvc and not the wood. mine have held up really well and i havent ahd one problem with them yet even after 2 years

drill from underneath. Have a buddy hold your pipe really tight to the wood (ayo!). Then put the screw in so it punctures the pvc. Then unscrew a little bit and make sure the pipe is really tight then screw it in. Reapeat this until the pipe is flush with the board. If that's too hard drill pilot holes.
