Are you serious? The only product youve seen is shit with an Old English Font "E" on it. Don't get me wrong, they might have some sick shit, but right now there is nothing to make me want to buy it. its a fucking E..... if i wore that while hitting urban id get shot for wearing an eazy-e shirt.

No, its not.  They put that O on a goggle that has been designed and re-designed over the past 15+ years, creating the quality, style, and function that Oakley has come to have been known for.   You should stop using Oakley's start-up and rise to success as an example because they are a 1 in a million company.  For every Oakley there are millions of ideas hatched that never get past their 2nd full year.

Empire could make it and be a successful brand and I hope they do.  They have a well known athlete behind it, a growing marketplace, and probably strong funding.  They also may not because they might never have their own identity (because they used a really played name), no defined direction or product line, and over-hyped a company that still hasn't created anything.

Regardless, I think you have to commend someone who tries to start a company because so much more goes into it than most people know.  And it takes a serious drive to stay focused with all of the adversity you face.

Exactly my point, not sure if youre agreeing or arguing. im not doubting that there product will be sick, but the fact that kids are flipping shit when there isnt any real product is kind of ridiculous.

Nobody is on Dumonts balls.  The hat looked cool and I wanted to buy it.  Or am I not supposed to say that, I'm sorry, is it already played?  If so then don't buy any of it, cause everyone knows quality gets worse when a frew kids from ns wear the same piece of clothing.

Yeah, completely. For one I know I'll probably never wear any of their stuff because I hate old english script. But the fact people are getting boners over the fact that a skier is starting a company and so far the visible product are cliche little hats with "E" on it makes no sense. When I first heard back in 2002 that Armada was getting started I was excited with reason. They had an all-star team, cool image, and credibility. Also this is when the actual skis part of the industry began to take off. With Empire they're just making apparel, just about every company does that.
