Replying to independant ski companies-boots, bindings etc

why is it that they only make skis in most cases? i was reading somewhere that the reason to buy skis from companies like armada, 4frnt and line was that the money you spend goes right back into the industry, but if you buy skis from rossi or salomon, it goes towards the FIS.
well thats fine, but the FIS must still be making tons of cash off of us because we have no choice but to buy bindings and boots from those companies anyways. so im wondering when will the independant ski companies step up and make a couple of boots and bindings as well as a couple of skis? line was on the right track, but we all know about the problems that come with buying line.
so does anyone know if 4frnt or armada will be making stuff like this in the near future?
