Ski Industry Internships

what kind of position are you thinking of? vail resorts is a pretty easy company to get a job/internship with. However its easiest to actually be at the mountain of your choice than it is to apply from a distance.

^ I'm open to anything, I just want to get my foot in the door.  But I do have an interest in marketing, and advertising

Most major resorts have a sign shop. Keystone has one in the mountain house village (and they might do all the work for breck as well I can't remember). Pay isn't that great, but you get to work every department on the mountain (hospitality, lifts, ski patrol, terrain park, maintenance etc), and because they have lower budgets and few employees they end up giving you a lot more responsibility as a designer/installer/salesperson. Plus its alot of fun, laid back and has a lot of variety.

My advice is pick a mountain/area you want to live in, then see what they have to offer. All major resorts have their available positions posted on their website. Or if you are excited about a specific department, track the number down and talk to them directly. They like ambitious people and they like resumes

This guy has the right idea..i got my job in the marketing department by talking to the right people and having a decent resume..im like the marketing assistant and its suuuch a sick job..its only while im still living at home and going to school but its an entry level job into the ski industry and will hopefully give me a good name for future references..talking to them is the best way..call around..emailing is ok but talking lets them know your really interested..

you can get a internship pretty easy at almost anywhere im pretty sure.
