http://www.studentuniverse.com/fly/ is the student discount flights that she's talking about, thats where i bought my ticket out west for the xgames

I spent over three hours booking airfare a few weeks ago. I searched every website I knew of, and then every travel website that a search engine turned up. In the end, the cheapest ended up being found using kayak.com. Also, if you're at all flexible, check the days surrounding your intended departure date. I saved $500 by leaving one day later than I had planned.
