Does this exist on the mountain/in the village/surrounding areas? If so what carriers are best in that area? I'm currently in the states and on verizon right now but I'm pretty sure its not an international plan. I better look into getting a working plan or go phoneless the next 6 months...
From my experience, cell phone reception as a general rule, is pretty good. No problems in the Village for me, and most places on the hill are ok too. Never used my phone beyond Flute on Whistler, or beyond Blackcomb glacier, but otherwise, no consistent problems. I'm on Rogers.
telus is pretty solid all over whistler and on both mountains too
canadian phone companies gouge you on pricing though. we pay double the US on voice and much more than that on data. it's blatant market collusion too with corporate officers openly warning competitors in the media to maintain 'price discipline.' fucktards
