I think 7 is actually a pretty good setting for you, tight enough that they won't pop when you land a bit off balance, but loose enough that it should come off when you bail.

weighing 135 and going hitting kickers with dins of 14 or 15 is a recipe for disaster,
7 sounds right but you just have to find out what din you feel comfortable with

ski them, if they come off when u try to butter or just landing hard, turn the toe up to 8 and leave the back at about 7.25-7.5. if they still come off turn each up by a half at a time until ur secure. i wouldn't go any higher than 10 unless ur a really really good.

Not for Jon it isn't. When I think about that, that is a hell of alot of DIN even for his size.

keep them where they are and if you feel like your straining your knee lossen it a little, if y think you are oming out when you should not tighten it up a half notch, and keep doing that untill it is perfect.

it seems that i set my din too low because i have a operation on my right thumb tomorrow because my ski hit it hard after a 7 with a nice landing but the binding released instead of holding my boot in - i have the 4frnt deadbolts 412 and i weigh about 170 - i set my din little bit over 9 - seems that i should go with a higher din!???

if your skis release then you don't have enough din. I normally ride @ 11 but i weight 180lbs

that sounds like its in the ball park. If the shop set it i would trust it. If you're really worried about it, turn it down to 6 and slowly crank them up until they don't prerelease.
