Breaking bindings

just wondering how often you break your bindings. Ive skiied 3 times this year and broke them every day. the first two times i ripped the brake out causing metal and plastic to bend, so it was fixable. today i tore the heel piece off from the base plate cracking the metal in half by just sliding on some ice sideways. I have Salomon S912 TI bindings

yeah i broke the base plate on my s912s too, salomon has a good warranty so it wasnt an issue.....but still thats the only binding thats ever broken on me.

my s810 tis cracked all around the screw holes and about 1.5 inches broke off the baseplate of the heel and one of my brakes also ripped off because the metal it screws into was cracked. Also the toepiece is always loosening up, and I have to tighten it down about once a week. The used s916s the shop lent me while my bindings were gone for warranty had cracks around the screw holes too, and cracks in the brakes rendering them useless. On my little brother's new z10s last year, both sets of brakes were broken in the first 2 hours he was skiing.

I usually break two or tree brakes a season, but I've never really broken any binding for real. I had some rossignol axial 100. I have salomons this year. I'll sea if it break more

I blew up i think 4 912s last year... The 2 that i end the season on had no breaks just the little plasic thing around it and the screws were pulling out of the plastic base plate.   To fix the problem...buy different bindings, trust me you will be happy

ive bent the arms on a set of P12s once. a million AFDs and things like that, plenty of brakes, and just about any trackmount/tabbed heels i step in break. i rode those pivots for like 4 years thou, they had seen more than their share of torture.

I had 810 ti bindings last year and I came down hard on my noses landing switch and one of my brakes snapped off, later that day, after I replaced the brake, I did the same thing except I completely snapped both of the base plates on the heelpieces.

My friend broke the toe piece on his z12's on a small bomb drop.  He had something like 10 days on them.

Personally, I've never broken a pair... knock on wood.

Seems like everyone that has broken their bindings has Salomons. So if you dont want to break your bindings dont ride salomons

I had a couple sets of S912's a few years ago and they both blew up really quickly.  Salomon has their shit together with the 916's, but everything else I've seen has been junk--in my experience.  I didn't bother warrantying mine, I just switched to Look/Rossi and haven't had a major problem since.

I use to have the same problem with my 912 tis.  I broke three tracks in about a month and a half.  After the third time warrantying them I sent a little note in with my bindings asking if when they sent me back the next pair they would send them with a steel track instead of a Ti one.  Problem solved.  I've had them for two years and they haven't broken once.

I put 200+ days on a pair of S912 sking park and all mountain.  Plus I work in a terrain park, so I was in and out of them a million times a day.  I never once broke them, mangled a couple breaks though..  weird...

I broke my rossi axials a good 10 times last season. And first day this season broke them and had it. I since have bought marker jesters and am in love with them. Bent a break bailing switch though

is it just me, or does the duke look identical to the old reactor binding, minus the portion that allowed you to switch the bindings between skis?
