Foward mounting

i always wanted to mount my skis foward
i think its a great idea
but what will i be sacraficing for all mountin if i do so
and would it be doable on scratch sprayers?

It will suck for anything other than the park. But if it's a 100% park ski, you will be fine.

Landis says 3cm forward is the magic number if its anything longer than 179cm's.

I mounted my Ar6's 2cm forward, and they are a 176cm ski. When are you getting them mounted, because I'll get to ride them at a hill in a week or so, and I could let you know what I think of them.

Why would you want to mount forward? If it's for better switch riding then you should mount the ski backwards, by that logic.

I actually did that with my Mo2's, and here's why.

Mounting a ski backwards makes it pretty much useless, riding forward feels very unstable, and its extremely easy to catch an edge carving switch.

Mounting a ski forward make carving switch easier, makes nose grabs and tail grabs easier, and you dont sacrifice forward riding. Once you mount forward of the recommended mark, you have already messed up the sidecut, so why not go all the way and make it worth your time?

i see what you mean, but would you mount them on the nose of the ski? that would be ridickulous, but i would mount forward two

Yeah, I have my sprayers mounted centre, but forward would be REALLY fun on those skis. I would do it if I were you.

i think it would be fun to try a forward mount but i can see more disadvantages to it then a center mount.. besides nose butters, then it would be sick for those.. i have my skis at center and they are perfect for everything i do.

forward mount is such a waste of time it ruins what the ski is made for and you will not get all of your skis. core center is perfect

This is why the old grey mad trix with the 75mm waist was such a great ski. I just sold a pair to a friend of mine and he forward mounted them... because you can mount the ski with the binding facing either way, if you put the big tips at the back you can still ride normally but switch skiing is like... GS turns.

Its all preference. Personally, I think anything BACK of centre is useless in the park. Its all preference.

It would make sence to mount centre. For a person who rides alot switch, forward makes perfect sence.
