i dont know why, but im going to pass up making fun of your spelling to actually answer your question.
It definitely goes both ways, it cant be one or the other. however it is important to note that widespread racism, sexism, murder, shallowness and materialism all predate the mass media, and in many cases were arguably more pervasive before its inception. for the media to purely cause OR reflect society it would have to be independant of society and that simply isnt the case. it reflects on the 'evils' that were already occurring, but in many cases this may popularze them and thus cause their perpetuation. i think theres a good chance you dont fully understand the question, because if you really have to take one position or the other thats pretty stupid.
