Shits so cool. The only downside is if you get your own crucible your gas and electrical will be a couple thousand dollars a month.

It's amazing what they can do. I wish I knew more about it.

My grandpa was one of the pioneers for glass blowing. He taught at Cal-Tec and his services were used for the navy/military.

My dad's friend's a glassblower, he's the sickest. I always ski with him and he made me the sickest piece. Man, I love that guy.

a few of my hippy buddies blew glass (actually, they were into glass fusion moreso than simply blowing) and sold their warez in the market during the summer here in ottawa.

glass-blowing is definately cool, but the colors are derived by using heavy metals, and when they are heated, they give off nasty fumes (wicked carcinogenic).

I was in Italy, and went to the Murano factory (arguably the most famous hand blown glass and crystal in the world) and they were saying that the life expectency of a master glass blower was only like 35-45 years.

that's crazy, but they can make some amazing stuff
