That doesn't make sense at all. Wax is absorbed into the base of the ski, usually compounded with graphite. It isn't very probable that the wax would wear off onto the box, and if it did, it is p-tex against p-tex, and I doubt that THAT would make the box stickier. I am no chemist, but I don't think your logic makes much sense.
hmmm, not if you properly scraped the wax off the bases first. I don't know what to tell you guys, i went and slid everything 4 times this morning before we opened and the rainbow was slick as hell, the new box wasn't sticky but it was slow (i attribute that to being a new feature which hasn't been slid before this week that has overspray from the painters), and the three box step down was slick. so if everything is sticky to you, it's an issue with your equipment moreso than the features, because all but the 32' box is slick, and the 32' box isn't sticky it's just slower than normal.
that flat box was butttterrrr today for me, the lip was just haggggaaard before it was raked. i don't get how such a huge rut forms on that lip but not the rest
Ya, I think it's because people set up on edge harder on that box than any other? I don't know though, it isn't a sharp tranny so why it goes to shit so quick is a good question.
Yes there will be new features for the weekend on payday and in the homerun park.
payday will be flat box to flat down flat box to flat down flat double tube. no new features in homerun until sunday night, and a new park run opens mid way through the week.
