Brigade/Prophet 100 for "second ski"?

Here it is people:
I'm about 6'1", 165 lbs, pretty aggressive, ski in the alps. I have 179 Fujatives for park-only days and need a new second ski for an everyday driver. So its gonna be for about 1/3 park, 1/3 groomers/hardpack, 1/3 big mountain/pow.
However, I'm in two minds: do I get 185 brigades for their versatility from the park to the big mtn, knowing that next year my fujitives can be replaced by a proper all mtn twin like chronics, ar6s etc
OR...
do I get the beefier 186 prophet 100s which would charge better, but noone seems to ride them in the park- Will I suffer a bit this year (7 weeks in total) trying to ski the prophets through the park, but next year I'll have a more well-rounded setup...
I guess what it comes down to is how well prophets would compare in the park to brigades, bearing in mind the directional flex & geometry, and how heavy are the two in comparison? no rails, no pipe on these and slow spins <720.
who can solve this for me?
Thanks

this is indeed a toughie. the brigade is probably the most versatile twin on the market- this is a ski that sage/kye/candide have ridden huge lines in ak on, but that andreas and candide often use in the pipe and on rails. there would be overlap next year if you were to get an all mtn twin like ar6s, but you could go for another pure park ski like pipecleaners to replace the fujis and maintain the status quo.
prophets: every single person that has ridden them says they absolutely kill it big mtn and on groomers, but i've not really heard any talk of how they are in the park so can't shed any light on that one. i personally think prophet + ar6ish ski would be a better balanced quiver for the alps than brigade + fujativeish ski, but i guess it depends on which end of the spectrum you favour more- park or big mtn?

im gettin prophets, but not usin them in park. ima just use it wen i travel up north and go to utah this year. they're prolly too stiff for the park, and besides i have invaders for park, no need to go fuckup another pair of nice skis wen i already have my beat pair meant for that

yeah but what are you gonna do on an average day? a day when you do a bit of everything? invaders are just as bad as fujatives outside the park- you're in the same position as me...

PROPHETS. they are freakign sweet. I love mine. They do work in powder (obviously) and can handle the park, i've done a few rails with mine and they're not bad for jumping. They're a super solid ski and i would deffinitely reccomend them.

I have a pair of 06' 186 Prophet 100's. I use them everywhere, and I mean everywhere. I'm from the midwest and usually take a few trips out west to hit powder and backcountry and they totally slay everything. They are pretty stiff, so they charge hard, and I've never had a ski that holds an edge as nice as the prophet to be honest with you. I'm a pretty agressive skier who's 30 now but have been skiing since I was 6, so I certainly know a good ski when I ride one. Also, for everyday pissin around here in the midwest I find it's good as well, although I really don't hit too many rails (a few grinds here and there, as I'm 30 and my body can't take huge hits on steel anymore), just tables and whatnot, but if you're mainly jumping in the park, they are just fine. I had a pair of invaders, but I'm a pretty big cat (5'10, 205) and busted them up within the first year of getting them, and I found they were actually a little too buttery for me, ollieing was nice, but seemed pretty flimsy. Anyways, i would highly recommend the prophet to anyone, it's been a great ski for me.

thanks dp^, sounds like prophets would be a better choice then in the long run- how heavy are they though, and do you ever find them too stiff for park? i'm trying to figure out if the prophet's all-mtn superiority outweighs the brigade's park superiority...
damn this is hard!

I would go with the prophets, just based on how many good things I have heard about them. Even Ski magazine, the magazine for old people, was going on about how amazing they are.

prophets looking likely at this point, but would still like to know how they compare weight wise to brigades or seths even?

I have the Prophet 100s, but I haven't skied the Seth's or Brigades so I can't you give you a direct weight comparison. Just handling them in the store they seem like pretty similar weights. If I were to guess I'd say the prophets may be a bit heavier because of the metal matrix, but they are by no means heavy. For me the weight is absolutely perfect - they are light enough to be very maneuverable, yet they have enough substance to plow through literally anything in their path. I can't really say enough good things about this ski, and I have yet to find any negatives. So go for the Prophets.
