The Two Hoods

alright im almost positive im going to mount hood this weekend, everywhere in washington is basically closed.  and im wondering between hood meadows and timberline. 

meadows is opening friday, timerline is open.  timberline is getting palmer open i heard it might open elsewhere....meadows has 14 inch base 20 inch top, its suppose to stay cold and they are making snow.  timberline has 26 inches and 7 inch new.  and i think timberline will have more terrain, because meadows is only opening up two small chairs, but meadows will have jibs.

so i am mostly wondering what are your opinions....and will timberline really open palmer and does timberline have jibs up?

i dont think timberline has any jibs yet but that mite change by the weekend - im gonna be at meadows friday cause i have a season pass there

Good question! Did anybody go up to timberline today? Any park features set up yet?
Regardless, I will be there this weekend with my fusion pass.

meadows is opening two measly slow lifts.  but ill still go.  on friday maYbe.. or sat. though both of those sound like horribly crowded days.

ya its prolly gonna be super crowded which kinda bumms me out but do you know which lifts theyre opening, im guessing daisy and buttercup

go to timberline, it will be alot better.
I'm going to meadows but thats because im cheap and i already have a season pass to meadows.
Meadows will have a couple small ass rails, with a a couple thousand people on them
timberline will have much more terrain and much better rails (meadows doesnt have enough snow to hold up nice rails)

i guess meadows might have a legit set up after all, still timberline will have jumps and more technical rails.
Plus timberline will be completly empty

sorry, i was just assuming timberline would have nice stuff set up. Actually now that i think about it im really not sure, last year they had a couple shitty rails for opening, but they didnt have palmer for opening last year this year they do and palmer is where they have the summer set up

Rails are the name of the game. Not enough snow to scrape together any jumps. As it looks now, the only place we will have rails set up is Shipyard. I estimate we will have 12-15 rails. They will be rails that everyone will be able to enjoy. We will have ledges, box-tops, fun boxes, mail boxes, flat bars, double barrels, and some fun little jibs. We will be as creative as the snow will allow. Almost the whole parking lot of snow has been hauled up on the hill. A portion of that is going into Shipyard. Without it we would have been struggling to put something together. The forecast looks good for early next week. Hopefully we will be able to expand our operation.

everyone should bring shovels incase the rails suck. we could hike off mitchells creek up to the badlands and build a jump. ill prolly bring one or two shovels. just incase
