How do you guys view people that commit suicide? I see it as a cowards way out.

my girlfriend in 8th grade tried to hang herself in her closet cuz i broke up with her two days before christmas cuz i didnt buy her a present she went to a mental institution wow thats pretty fucked up i totally forgot about that

yeh so can having ur father who was the best guy in the world to u just walk away and all of a sudden not give a shit, so can having your gradmother who raised you most of your life die, so can having a mother who wont talk to you becuase i guess im not good at anything but sking which isnt school or some stupid music or ballet or shit, and having a sister whos the world to my mom and a great success going to a great collige getting adored for it, then skiing the only thing i felt i had left went to shit when i was plauged with injurys, despite not having 1 single freind and being hated and made fun of by every1 i know.

so shut the fuck up i guess suicide must be a chemical imbalence cuz i keep trying even though my life is fucked i cant help but think tommarow might be better. maybe ill move out, finish high school and maybe have some nice life.

i dont think you know what its like to look back at your life and see the last time you were happy was when you were 7, 11 years ago.

I think people commit suicide when they can't fore see the future and feel inescapeably trapped in the present. some people are able to mentally cope with the harsh realities of life where others can't, suicide is really sad it's a shame we all can't go peacefully when were old and gray after living a fulfulling life. Life can change death can not.

you guys have totally changed my perpective, i was wrong to say it was cowardly. I guess i was kinda being a 'fuckhead'. I guess nobody can really know unless they have personally been thru it.

my friend committed suicide last year by hanging herself in the shed. And the only reason that we could come up with is a chemical imbalance

fuck man my friend's mom committed suicide and guees what, i fuckin found her, dead in her car with a bullet through her face and a pistol at her feet. so dont even try to tell me i dont know what suicide is about and whats its like. suicide is cowardly and selfish and although i dont know exactly whats going on in people heads youve really got to have some pride in yourself and pick yourself up after getting a kick to the nuts.

it isn't cowardly at all I doubt you have the cohones to take your life. I understand why my brother did it, and really it was pretty much his last option. Not everyone that kills themselves has a nice little life, and it doesn't always come as a shock once you sit down and think about it.

an interestign fact...30% of people that commit suicide are gays lesbians or transvestites....if you think u might be gay and cant handle it some people kill them selves also i heard someone say people kill themselves that haev great lives. you dont know anybody as well as you think you do. you dont know what they think that they are too scared to tell anyone..its a scarything

Wow, Im amazed by the response to this, especially the number of people who are open to admit their experiences of depression. I spent over 16 months in institutional care for it - and anyone that says suicide is the act of a coward needs to spend 24 hours in a 'rock bottom' headspace.

Skiing was - and to a large degree still is - the only thing that kept me going.

I always was able to see the future, I've always wanted to be an astrophysicist or aerospace engineer. I could spend one day thinking completely about how my life will be in 10 years and where I want to get a job, or lining up internships and that night I could lay down in bed and say, nah it ain't worth the wait, and then go to sleep hoping I don't wake-up.

My first suicide attempt ocurred only weeks after I had started a novel that I fully intended to finish and attempt to publish...it never got finished.

The moral is: It's just (in my case) an extreme and overwhelming loss of interest in everything..and it is passing for me. I also stand in astonishment when someone commits suicide...even my psychotic cousin...in a state of disbelief how someone could do that. Then I sit down and suddenly can be launched into a state of severe depression for which I see no way out.
My future's so bright I gotta wear shades.

I just realized something....didn't one of my friends supposedly tell all of newschoolers that I commited suicide? Very eerie seeing as not one of my friends knows about my apparent insanity.

i know this girl that tried to kill herself ny jumping out in front of a car but at the last second she chickened out and the side view mirror hit her and broke a bunch of ribs and shit, haha.

My friends neighbor tried to kill himself three times. One time he jumped head first off his one story house and just mangled himself, then he but a gun in his mouth and ended up just shooting out his two front teeth, and the third time i don't know what he did but it worked
