Yeah I'm looking for a back pack for skiing. Something definetly that I can strap my skis into for hiking plus something that looks good is fairly thin in profile and maybe something with a hydration pack. I've looked at the Dakine Heli Pro but I was wondering if theres anything else you could recomend.
I won the matchstick edition dakine pro 2 at the seven sunny days premier. i haven't skied with it yet but the ski carrry is nice and theres a bunch of different compartments. plus it looks sick too. it's this one http://mspfilms.com/store/931
The Heli Pro might be a little overkill for just resort skiing, but I suppose if you don't have much inside it should be fairly compact. I use mine for backcountry skiing most of the time and it holds skins, an extra layer, a snow saw, gloves, goggles, and my camera--with water in the outside pocket. If I was getting a pack just for resort skiing I'd be looking at a smaller version for sure, but if you want some versatility in case I don't think the Pro would get in the way too much.
