Need advice on good resorts?!?!?!?!?!?

So the past 6 years I have lived in CO and only skied at Keystone, Breck, Vail, and Beaver creek mostly.  My friends and I decided that this year we need a change are are gonna venture outside CO, however we are not sure where to go.  I think I have narrowed it down to Utah, California, or Washington. 

There is a good mix of talent in the group so I am looking for something that fills the entire spectrum...groomers, park, trees, cliffs, etc.  I am used to the CO resorts that are so big and offer so much, so I am looking for something similar. 

We are planning on going between late december and early january.  Looking for good snow, short lift lines, good nightlife, CHEAP (if that exists) and just badass in general.  Thanks

canada get some passports and come north mountwashington  on vancover island is sick but the snow and the park arent great but there great lines cliffs some of the best trees and short lift lines

id say WA. so much snow last year and good vibe. but if you have the $$ do canada. and also i love cali, cause its where i come from.. but if your looking for something comparable with what CO has to offer.. well.. i'm just not sure it compares. tahoe is sick though.

California or Utah sound like good bets. Utah especially, the weather is fairly consistent there so you would probably get good snow. The thing with WA is you just don't know whats going to happen. It could drop feet over night, or it could piss rain for weeks straight. And forecasts don't mean shit here. For example it was supposed to dump two weekends ago but it rained instead, same for this last week and weekend.

stuff here is preety cheap and it isint that far from co plus theres lots of cheap places to stay here

baker fits into all ur categories except nightlife. adult  all day tickets are 40 bucks, cheap....

I don't mean to be rude, but the price of skiing at big resorts in Canada is not cheap if you're an American. The crappy exchange rate, combined with the added cost of needing a passport for any air travel, and the general cost of living being much higher.

I could do a trip to Utah for $700-$900 for 5 days of skiing including airfare from New York. The same trip to a place like Whistler would hit my pocket for at least DOUBLE that $700-$900. Hell, the airfare alone would be $700+.

When we get a good season out in Tahoe, I don't wanna ski anywhere else. Seriously, in a good season at squaw, there is nowhere better to ski for big mountain. A powder day at squaw is the best day of your life skiing, unless you do heli or cat, because there are endless cliffs and super fun lines everywhere. Kirkwood has these kinds of lines as well, its just a whole lot smaller than squaw, and same with Alpine Meadows. But in a shitty season, don't come it's not worth it, and btw we have 0 inches right now in Tahoe so don't bother.

i coould of sworn i saw like 2 snow flurries at my house today.
ha nope no snow and wut he said is right
although i cnt throw down 1400 for a pass so i go to alpine and its sickk.
tahoe definitely has some of hte best snow and it is the best backcountry in the continental US when there is snow.
oh and our parks are super sick too, squaws springtime in may mm i love it, alpines always got the super booters, sierra is sickk too.
so jea if tahoe has snow then its sickk.
