LAMEST term in all of skiing

By far the lamest term in skiing is "unnatural". I am amazed that no other term has ever made its way to be more recognized than this shitty one. Concluding this, we need to create some other term for this. I have no ideas but there must be something better than this. Please inform me of something better.

Ugh i never really gave a shit what the terms are called, i just watch videos or see people do that and say to my self "That looks awesome, I am going to do that"..so while i can do a bit, i have no idea what it is in 'terms'

^^^yeah, dirty is an term for unatty, like it better than unatty

but PLEASE dont say CAB, that is one reason snowboarders think skiing isnt legit, cab shouldnt just mean switch, maybe switch unnat, because cab is a super specific for snowboarders right?  like spinning switch backside off your heel or something, dunno exactly, but we kinda cheapened it by using it for just switch.

well cab means switch frontside on a snowboard or skateboard, but since there is no front or backside on skis, and most people spin the way they look over their shoulder when they spin switch, i think cab is a pretty legitimate word.


and since when do snowboarders not think skiing is legit?

well, technically, unatural is suppoed to be called "switch"

but because people use "switch" to describe skiing fakie (the only sport that does so for some odd reason) than they had to come up for a new term for "spinning the other way"

Hate the term Grind or worse yet Grindin', though I guess it is a gaper term and they don't know better.

As for Unnatty, I use it yeah, and it's great cause I'm left handed so I want to spin the opposite direction then all the righties do naturally, so people are always like how do you spin unnatty smooth like that and I just tell em I'm the shit, that's why. but seriously, it's kind of an awkward term. I like the suggestion of spinning queer though lol

I also hate the term Jump for some reason, it reminds me of some shitty 80's hip hop attempt.

your right about the fakie part. but in forward facing sports (rollerblading biking ect) switch is used to doing something in the opposite direction (spin grinds whatever)

i beg to differ.  on skis, when riding forward, you pop off your tails, right?  well, in skiing fakie (under your definition of it) wouldnt u have to pop off your tails in order for it to make sense?  i dunno bout you, but when i ski backwards i dont pop off my tails so therefore, it is not fakie in my opinion. it is switch.  i say this because riding switch on a skateboard is reversing your stance to the way that is not natural to you and the only way to do that on skis is to go backwards.  i dunno if that is right, but does anyone agree?

unnatty sounds aweful. couldn't imagine sayingt that, make me think of beer.  spinning queer is better, because if you're just starting ot spin "unnatural," then it's prob not going to look like butter steeze. :0)

krispy is pretty dope too, or riding dirty.

riding fakie on a skateboard is going backwards. riding switch on a skateboard is riding "goofy". since there is no stance side in skiing, its impossible to ride switch.

therefore fakie is the correct term for skiing backwards.

no dude. you miss the point. we are skiers and we call it whatever the fuck we want. switch is a term used in skiing. it is also used in other sports. but in skiing, it means skiing backwards. its going to continue to mean that. end of story.


investigating the legitimacy of sports terminology is pretty ridiculous if you ask me. its slang, a lingo. thats like saying a 9mm shouldnt be called a gat because its not an actually "gattling gun"(which i think refers to a tommy if im not mistaken). but try to explain to the game that its not actually a gat and he will kill ou with one. sooo try to explain to tanner that hes doing FAKIE 9s and not sw or cab 9s and he'll pwn you like he did that one faggot.
