i don't know if anyone else has had this happen but yesterday i went to hit my pvc shotgun rail and it barely slide and felt like sliding on sandpaper--not good---i think my pvc has worn down so much that its got a rough top...this happen to anyone else???
If its really being a problem unscrew your pipes and flip them so a smooth side is exposed, and did you us SCH 40 or SCH 80 pvc, i believe 40 is harder so it might not do that as fast, because my pvc has lasted me over a year of long sheshes and it slides fine
it shouldnt wear down like that. what i think your problem was that you hadnt hit it in a while and there may of been a bit or dirt on it or you were sliding on your edge. what i normally do if that happens is just wipe the rail down with a tiny bit of snow, but if you didnt have snow water would work too as well as soap.
yeah i think the dirt is what did it then..cuz my set up gets muddy sometimes and i'm too lazy mot of the time to wipe it down--but i wash it every so often and it still is like that even on the first hit...i think i got some shitty pvc or something
ive never put soap on my pvc rails and they are still really slick. so maybe having soap/water on the pvc is making the dirt adhere to it, which is whats slowing you dow
try getting a hose, spraying off and dirt/soap you may have on there, let it dry or wipe it down with a rag, then hit it dry and see if that helps
ya, as someone said earlier you may of bought the cheap kind of pvc, but that shouldnt make that much of a difference, (the only difference i think would be it is easyer to crack the cheaper one), and as the guy before me said, just use water, not soap, or just use snow if there is any
