I went to Plattsburgh for 3 semesters and I liked it because I stayed busy doing shit all the time. I was still riding BMX and there was a lot of little cool spots around campus. Whiteface isn't too far away and you can take the ferry over to VT and hit up the mountains over there. I loved the campus and all my friends, but I had to transfer because the courses weren't what I wanted to do. I had some good teachers and I had some bad teachers, but overall it was pretty good really.
The night life was the typical bull shit, house parties, bars, etc. We used to be able to get into a bar called Maggies and were able to drink without being caught, but that was a few years ago so I don't know how it is now. The dorms were alright, nothing really special. Food was meh, but I gained some weight off of it...lol
My brother goes to Cortland and I know he likes it. I chilled with him for a bit after skiing one night and the dorms are pretty nice and the food is decent for college food. From what I saw there was a lot of hot chicks too. Greek is less than 10 minutes away as well.
