for one, how do you factor 6x^2-5x-4<4?  and thats the find the critical points... is it just really shitty non whole #s?  the question is graph that and list all intervals.

(2x+1)(3x-4). As for critical points, not exactly sure what you mean by that. Like, where the derivative is equal to 0? Because you would get 12x - 5 < 0 for your derivative, so your critical point would be at 5/12.

ehh thats not the right factors.  and then you use the zeroes (critical points) like so. (-infinity, n1), (n1, n2), (n2, +infinity).  and then find out if a number in each catagory fits.  so basically i just need to factor the damn problem.

Actually it's not, that would give you 6x^2-3x+8x-4, or 6x^2+5x-4, and you said you wanted 6x^2-5x-4, right?

The factor for that is in my initial response, which is (2x+1)(3x-4). As for the critical points....I did that along time ago, I need to remember how to do them. If I can figure it out I'll let you know.
