You don't 'have' to wait at all. Just make sure you stay warm and get some rest at the end of the day. I am a licensed doctor in Guyana.

my bro had it, i forget how long but he said no real physical stuff (like riding dirtbike) because he could have like ruptured his spleen or something, so be careful

yeah i wouldnt call you a bitch if you didnt right or drink for that month, if you do physical shit your spleen get get punctured and then what. So when you think about waiting a bit is worth it

yea, don't do anything physical.. its not worth the risk or rupturing your spleen, cause if you do there's a good chance you'll die, if not, better hope you've got medical insurance

i think its whenever you feel like skiing you can, its just depends on if you have the energy or not, i wouldnt wait a month

most of you people don't realize i don't have a choice, mono enlarges your spleen and makes it very easy to rupture. i was just curious how long other people's doctor's have said to wait.

just had it man! it sucked. i was neevr tired. well i smoke all the time so liek being tired is normal to me. and yea it does enlarge ur splean and doing leik hardcore activity liek skiing will deff not be good. i skated a lil and it started hurtign so i had to stop. it lasted for about a month so jsut deal with it and dont hit jumps or rails above ur kneecaps and i think u should be set. o and i dont think dribnking is good but who kn ows i never drink

yeah. It was like a solid month before I was doing things at normal levels. It sucks. Good thing its now when skiing isnt at its best.

you'll probably find that even after you get over it you'll be sleeping heaps.
so its probably going to be more the lack of energy or anything that will get you.
which could make the recovery longer...

Im kinda drunk but i had mono back in march. Ruined my hockey carreer for good man. Fuck. Ok but it can last anywhere from 3 days to 6 or 7 months. For me it was about 2 weeks reallly bad, and 1 week kinda bad. So I was back at school in a months time. Some people are completely fucked for 6 months or so and they have symptoms their entire life. Dont believe me if you want but I know a guy whos 40 and still has symptomns from it since he was 18. k but man, depends how bad it is if ur gonna get it bad or not. Id say average couple weeks ur fucked.

And what pisses me off its liek people are like "oh well at least u catch up on sleep ad just play video games and shit. FUCK THAT. I sat in my room for 2 weeks with a computer and N64 and super nintendo and didnt wtouch it once. Not once. Couldnt even get up to play it. I drank water and grilled cheese for a fucking week straight. not even with the cheese either. So good luck man, dont let it ruin ur fucking life. I heard taking birth control pills can help it.
