Moving to Mt. Hood Area

any information is helpful

i go to school in hood river heres some of the info
everyone skis at meadows, its much better in the winter than timberline (timberline has some nice things though)
Only one school in hood river, 1,200 students so its a nice size
Weed is easy access in most of oregon including hood river and portland
girls are ok, not bad but portland has better ones

parties are pretty good in hood river
we have i beleive the number 4 team in the state for soccer

ok so basically mt hood meadows shreds, and has awsome parks in winter, and for summer its all at timberline! stoked to see you at the mountain bro!

portland is pretty tight but if i were you i would run away to whistler, i'm thinking about doing that!

i went to central catholic and i had a good experience.  yea its more expensive than public schools but the teachers are better and actually care about your education (they take a pay cut to work there, they do it because they love it).  yea its a catholic school, but its not that bad.  they have church once a month and you have to take religion classes but i didn't mind too much.  its around 800 kids and there are a lot of good neighborhoods around in both northeast and southeast portland.  there are a lot of hot girls, and sports teams are always competitive.  both the boys and girls soccer teams are playing in the state championship this saturday and we play in 6A, the highest league even though we are the smallest school in the league.  soccer has been conference champions the last 6 or 7 years in a row.  some people say that we recruit but thats not entirely true.  yes you can get scholarships and financial aid but no exceptions are made if a prospective athlete does not meet the educational standards.  if you are considering private schools there is also jesuit and la salle.  i have friends that went to both and from what i have leaned, central is the most diverse and doesnt have as many yuppies as jesuit does.

I'm not very religious but i'll check it out.

yea im not actually catholic, i just went there for the education.  i never felt like they pressured me into any religious stuff or tried to make be believe what they did.  not like those damn mormans that go door-to-door

further you can live out from the city the better, imo portland = fucked traffic and long commute to the hill.

The Sandy area has my vote.
