I was reading an inter view with Jochen Smuda, http://www.rollernews.com/jochen-smuda-interview-3_3842.html, and in the article he mentioned that he had bought some freestyle skis and has started skiing agian. He also mentioned that most rollerbladers had seen shima and haffey skiing. So have we on here right? Wouldn't it be cool if some Pro skiers went to the streets or park with rollerbladings finest?
on a different note...
A couple of months ago I was reading articles about how rollerbladers hate skiing cuz they think its gay and I come onto NS and read how rollerblading is gay when ever it is brought up. Whats with this? Two similar sports calling eachother gay. Sure they have their differences, concrete vs snow. but why try to distance yourself from something that can help your sport out. Skiing can offer rollerbladers something to do in the winter or practice skills. And Rollerblading offering skiers something to do in the winter that really does help your skiing. Rollerblading is really fun to do and the fact that you can look at something and say "I can skate that".
I don't know why I am writing a rollerblading thread right now so close to the season opening.
