Wide angle vs. fish eye

i am getting a new lense for my camra and i have been getting mixed reveiws on what i should be buying. i am either going to get a wide angle or a fish eye...i dont know which i should get, wich ones better for skating and which is better for skiing and why

for me, the fish eye is always better, but wide angles are often cheaper

i get sick of fisheyes. theyre always used for the same thing: skating follow cams down stair cases. we get it..its looks cool. give the fisheye a rest already

it depends what kinda filming you wanna get

do u wanna get the focused sorta zoomed in look in the middle and the opposite on the sides, or do u want it to just be zoomed out from regular view and wider?

buy a regular wide angle lens and then get a fisheye attachment for it, that way you'll have the regular wide angle all the time and won't be stuck with only a fisheye (which are pretty expensive as a lens)

i prefer wide angle, i think fisheye gets old and distorts too much

fisheyes are too much barrel distortion for me, if your gunna get a fish tho, i recomend a raynox mx3000. .3x and i've heard good things, its only a 37mm thread tho
