RCR pass fraud?

RCR releasing the information that they're not going to have parks after the park-refund date stinks of fraud to me.  is it just shady dealing, or is there any way some sort of legal dispute can be put up to at least tarnish RCR's name?

i know it's wishful thinking (who the hell is going to actually pay for a lawyer), but i'm just wondering outloud if it's even possible/feasible.

yeah, seriously, it's retarded. get more passholders to write to them. pressure them. get publicity through local newspapers or something

I forgot about that, but come think of it, a lot of contracts say that so in that case, it's useless to pressure them or whatever. It's always useful to read the fine print

pull a Kenny Salvini for the amount of your pass on them....

wow, maybe we should use the name "Kenny Salvini" as a noun to represent suing a ski resort...

Anyway, if you're that dissatisfied with the decision, contact them. When I was working at Bear Mountain in CA, we would refund people's passes for the most stupid reasons despite the fact that our contract clause said no refunds.

according to the article on Ski Area Managements website they aren't closing they're parks they are eliminating man-made jumps and increasing the number of rails and boxes and stuff. not that that doesn't suck but everyone up there better be dope at sliding rails by the end of the year

"All man-made snow jumps will be eliminated from RCR terrain parks this season," Matt Mosteller, senior director of business development for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, has announced. The six-area company cited its core value of providing a safe environment for guests as the reason for the change. At the same time, the resorts are expanding their rail parks with a wide variety of new features, from entry-level, family-park rails to those challenging enough to host national-level competitions. All will nonetheless adhere to RCR’s internal guidelines for safe practices.

agreed...but either way...the people that ski out there are fucked when they want to hit up some jumps in the park...big mtn is fun, but i like a little variety

yah, they will refund a 1 day ticket if it is due to injury and early enough in the day. My friend wrecked himself on his first run, so they gave him a refund for his ticket.

ski resorts have pads on towers, fences around closed and dangerous areas, and slow signs on every run with slope patrol.
