The more I read about new gear this year from skis to bindings to boots and everything else the more I realize that no skiing publication has the balls to actually give an opinion about gear. All they do is spit back what the manufacturers web site says and add some hip slang to it. I agree that you can always find something positive to say about any product but you can always find a negative that will be helpful in letting people know the negative side of a binding or a ski. What really got me was the freeskier review of the new marker bindings the Jester and the Duke, Harvey who we are all very thankful to for everything he has done for us spits back the description from the marker website with no opinion as to how the bindings will work and possible issues that riders may have with them. If its a review tell us what you think, if its a sales ad pump us full of corporate slogans and product info. I think its about time that these publications understood the difference between money from ads and offering actual product reviews like they claim.
