Foot Cramps

Whenever i have my boots on for a while my feet get cramps. is this a result of too small or or maybe too tight?

has anyoe else experienced this too?

you should look into getting your boots fitted. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you.

go to a very good boot fitter, that's what i had to do. took the fitter like 3 hours of work canting and grinding the shell to make all my pain go away but it worked.  and my feet freakin suck

well no good boot fitters live near me. maybe it was just that one night because i had salomons in 25.5 and this didnt happen and these new ones are salomon 25.5s.

has anyone else experienced this before?

^there are. look harder. high adventure does a pretty job, thats what i've heard. not sure about playitagain

Yeah, I have collapsed arches, and canting your ski boots really help.

Or, you could get some insoles.

i hate foot cramps, but im not sure if it has to do with the boot fit, b/c sometimes when i'm swimming i'll just randomly cramp up in the arch of my foot and it'll kill and i'll have to stop...and thats in bare feet, so i think it has to do with the muscles of the leg/foot

it could be too small or too big go to a boot fitter wherever they might be it would be worth it and if all else fails try some heat moldable liners or some kinda insole from a shop.

no its not a one time thing if it always happens when he has his boots on for a while.  same thing used to happen to me, it means your boots aren't fitting right. not necessarily too small or tight, just somethings not right

try playing with the top buckles of your boots/powerstrap before spending your money on a bootfitter. It could be that your feet arent getting the proper oxygen and blood circulation which would be cut off at the top of the leg. This would be like anaerobic respiration in your feet. (basically your feet arent getting the proper amount of oxygen so your feet naturally switch to this type of system, which causes you to cramp and get pain) this could be whats happening if its not go to a bootfitter

do you open your boots up while you are on the lift?

if not do it.

everybody who doesn't need to open the buckles while on the lift has boots which are to big.

i highly duobt that you need to see a boot fitter.

it only helps if there are pressure points or something.

cramps result out of less blood then needed.

cranking down on your instep buckle can do this. This is because the nerves sit very close to the skin on top of the foot. You should only tighten the bottom two buckles with one finger of pressure.

bit off topic but my feet just randomly cramp in the arches sometimes and my big toe will sieze up and it hurts like shit for 1min then its gone. i dont even need to be doing anything,, just sitting it will happen.

so back to the point of the thread,,, it might not have to do with fit but the use of certain muscles that causes them to cramp.. keep that in mind
