Will it mess with mounting?

i got a new pair of boots a few days ago and i had my bindings mounted to my last pair of boots which were bigger, they are mounted at true center, now that i have my new ski boots that are smaller than my last ones would sliding the heel peice up to make the binding fit the boot make the ski forward mounted? or will it keep the ski mounted at true center? (used searchbar)

If your new boot is smaller, you will technically be mounted a few mm forward of centre.

No. I had mt T-Halls mounted at +1, and I thought theyw ere mounted at true. I couldnt tell.

Yeah, you can even measure it out how much if you realy want to know how much, but it will be minimal.

Unless you froze of half your foot and went from a 320 BSL to a 270 BSL, no. Just adjust the heelpiece, or let someone do it if you don't thrust yourself with it, and have a look at how many mm you have to adjust it, you'll see it's nothing

well i want from either a 29 or a 28.5 not sure which to a 27, which i think is 345mm? to a 315mm

doesnt is also depend on the how the bindings were setup in the first place??
i.e how much of the heel track is left to adjust the heel forward

well yea, if they moutned the bindings with the tracks all the way at the back then its going to be no problem

but it they mounted it with the tracks adjusted forward then he wont be able to move them that much.

they were mounted almost all the way back i moved the heel peice up like 3 or 4 notches from where they were before (px12 binderz)

From memory those bindings have a total of 42mm travel, which is 21mm either way if they were mounted in the middle of the heel track

You also need to account for the slight movement needed for forward pressure etc

You'll be 1cm forward now if you've gone down 2 sizes. Ski them as they are and see if you notice a difference. If you do then have just the toe remounted 1cm back and you'll be centred, providing the original mount was done with the jig set for your boot.
