Alrighty, since no1 is signing the petition, maybe newschoolers should put some sort of notice before you log into the site. That way everyone would see it and feel compelled to sign. And please, put a link on the home page.
Also, If you use facebook/myspace/whatever stocker program you choose, send a link and brief description of this to all friends on your lists, explaining that they might not know or care, but they should sign anyway. I just sent it through my aim list and 45 people have signed already.
