Anyone going (or been) to Morzine?

     Right, so I finally know where I'm going this season.  I'm going to be running the hotel bar in le Viking in Morzine.  Is anyone else going to Morzine this season, and most importantly has anyone got any sagely advice for me?  Are the snow parks any good?  Where are the best nights out (yes I know I'll have plenty of time to find out, but I'm going to have hangers on right from the start and I'll need to show them a good time)?

     Also should I buy new skis before I head out or pick them up in resort?  How do prices compare?

     And finally, if anyone has any other good tips for a first time seasonaire, I'd REALLY appreciate them.

I've only been to Morzine for hockey tournaments, and I didnt really dig it, to hopped up in my opinion, especially the Avoriaz crap up above, those are some ugly buildings.  I really dont know much about it except that Megeve might be more the place to go for partying and such?

     I have to admit it was never really on my radar.  I was hoping for St Anton really but that fell apart when my interview for one of the ski tour operators came the day after Scotland beat France........
