Replying to Falcon 9's
Kinda long, I apologize.
Ok so I just got back from my local shop and picked up some Falcon 09's. Basically I have retartedly shaped feet, "pins and needle" sensation, parasthesia, basically lots of foot pain. So this shop guarantees boot fit for one whole yea, aka if they don't ski right, I can return them/exchange them for full credit. I had a great bootfitter with over 20 years experience so I trust this guy. He recommended these even though I told him park -> all mountain.
Ok, so I'm 6'0'', 180lbs, 20 years old, expert skier. The boots are 100 flex and I can flex them very far. The only thing I was wondering about, is 100 flex too much for freesking? This is my first time buying boots in over 5 years so I don't have too much experience in the process. The fitter spent over 3 hours shaping the boots, and he did a LOT of work, but they seem to solve my foot pain. The dude also told me to come back after 2 days of skiing and he will do whatever further modifications are needed.
After coming home I looked them up and they are "race" boots. Does this really mean anything? As long as the boots fit right I should be fine right? I looked up some threads and people said race boots will give me very bad shin bang, but these seem to hold my thighs really tight, so I hope that won't be an issue.
Thanks,
Jake
