Salomon S810 Binders

ok..so some input would be nice

i got some salomon s810's for dirt cheap.....in an actually sweet color combo brand new, in the plastic

i have seen some playas say they are absolutly shit....

others say their great.....

could i get some first hand stories and accounts of their real quality

cause i might be mountin em on a pair of last years AR6's tommorrow

theyr good bro

theyr not 4frnt or look but theyr good for the price

iv got my old chronics mounted up wit 810's and theve een holdin up great

they could use a little more DIN setting but iv got mine on 10 and theyve released maybe 1-2 times but if i remember right it was from droppin about a 20 ft cliff



what do you mostly ski? like what types of skiing?  groomers, park, backcountry, pow....

park..........alot of it...not very hard....but mostly urban shit.....some glads an powder when available

my experience on them was terrible...I had them mounted on some Salomon FOILS and those pieces of shit were prereleasing like mad....BUT, they were on demo tracks so that could have been the problem....

They are a great binding. Ive never ridden them, but my buddy was on them on his Ar5's. He's about 6'1 200 lbs, hes a big guy, and I never saw him pre release. I would get them. Like was said, they arent a Rossi/Look, but they are a great binding, especially what you need them for.

if ur light or not aggresive they will probabley last u other wise they will probabley brake

They are really light, but mine cracked all to hell after 2 seasons and the toepieces kept getting loose and making me eject every time I landed a jump, with my din set to 8. all around screw holes on the heelpiece cracked, and about an inch of plastic broke off the back of the heelplate(the part underneath, that sits directly on the ski). Also one of teh brakes cracked and then came right off. i had them sent back to Salomon for warranty near the end of last year, they fixed them and I haven't had a problem with them since, but I only skied like 10-20 times after they came back, and it was just small jumps and rails hand built that I was hitting. Also the bindings the shop lent me in the meantime were also salomons(the red 916s) and tehy were busted all to shit as well, the brakes wouldn't go down and screw holes were cracked, buit they were skiable.

also I'm 6', 170 lbs and jib alot on pavement, ice and such. and I have alot of flat landings because my hill is mostly flat, so all transitions are teeny weeny and short, so you always overshoot.
